Words of kindness are works of kindness, and since they cost so little and are worth so much, we should strew them plentifully all along life's way.

My 16 year-old terrier, Charlie, went to the vet and didn't come home today. He had become so feeble and listless the best choice was to have him put down. I had seen it coming for a long time, but it still just breaks my heart. I'm going to miss him.

Slipstream

Slipstream was a movie I watched on SciFi last night. It starred Sean Astin as a computer geek who downloaded a top secret "time machine" program on his PDA. He used the program to loop time so that he could actually get what he wanted to say to a pretty bank teller perfectly said. So, during his time at the bank with the teller, the bank gets robbed. Two FBI agents who have been following the geek get involved. The bank robber steals the PDA and the rest of the movie is a series of mishaps aimed at recovering the PDA.

The movie was an interesting concept and filmed in an interesting way, however the majority of the movie just was not interesting. The female lead (the FBI agent) was nondescript. Sean Astin did not reach the full potential of his acting ability. The bank robber and his girlfriend were the most interesting characters, go figure. However, the ending was very unexpected and unexpectedly satisfying.

The soundtrack was very good.
